We are a close community/team working to sustain and provide for the world in the most friendly giving way…The farm technically speaking starts at the bottom of the hill after a stroll through the rainforest and overlooks the large lake and has a direct view of the volcano. The farm has just about every type of fruit tree you can think of as well as vegetables, beans, herbs, coffee…. Recently made, a new lake has been built as we grow another eco system. Lots of building going on right now with the emphasis of using bamboo for all building creations.

YOUR SPECIAL TALENT SKILL TRADE….Everything from building with bamboo to planting seeds, making hanging bridges, planting seeds, cutting and curing bamboo…Right now as we are growing there is constant planting going on…From flower plants, to food plants and herbs. If you have a strong knowledge in herbs, Ayurveda or healing modalities and making oils we could use your help.We are also looking for someone with the want to COOK. Chef style cooking for restaurant, inspirational, creative, vegetarian and vegan, health oriented, using FOODS from FARM.
GETTING TO ESSENCE (Transfer): Arturo or Luis (drivers name picks up in FORTUNA right on front of the Super Market Super Christian number 1 (right next to the Cabinas Las Palmas) at 9:00 am, 1:30 pm or 6:30 pm, It is $8 per person from Fortuna to Essence. If you take a cab it will cost around $30.HOUSING: you will have a bed with sheets and a roof to cover you. Due to the high volume of people we have coming to Essence we have a few different housing places may be with another person or alone.

WORK: low season 8 hours per day included three meals or high season 6 hours two meals 6 days a week, your day off will be the day you arrive.

Days off: there is a lot to do around here so you can hike, ride horses, go zip lining, rafting, play music, read

MEALS: breakfast and lunch. All vegetarian.food.
Daily we serve plates of the day, if you want to eat something different it is up to you buy the food. There is a pulpiera here in El Castillo for snacks and fruits or of course in Fortuna. We have a common kitchen on the farm we share.

Q..How long would the stay at your place be? 1-2-3 months? shorter longer possibly?
A..The length of stay has a minimum of 1 month.

Q..What should I bring?
A..RUBBER BOOTS, rain coat, hat, towel, work clothes and what ever makes you happy.

Q..Is it a good idea to bring a laptop or no?
A.. Yes there is internet access

Q..What about transportation?
A..We are about thirty minutes from the local town… We do have a shuttle that runs daily upon request which is about $8.

Q..How much money will i be spending staying with you?
A..You will need money to do activities in the area, transportation, food..

Q..How many volunteers have you supported before?
A..We have hosted a wide number of volunteers, from all backgrounds.

Q..Where is the best place to fly into to get to your place?
