What was once an overgrazed cattle ranch with little remaining rainforest has been transformed into a vibrant paradise teeming with life.

As I meander through the 3 miles of trails that wind through this eco paradise, I am struck by the beauty and tranquility that surrounds me. The air is alive with the sounds of birds singing, leaves rustling, and water trickling. It is a symphony of nature at its finest.

But Essence Arenal is much more than just a beautiful place to visit. It is a testament to the power of regenerative agriculture and sustainable living. When the founders of Essence Arenal first laid eyes on this land in 1997, it was a mere shell of its former self. Overgrazed by cattle and stripped of 90% of its rainforest, the land was in desperate need of rehabilitation.

Fast forward to today, and the transformation is nothing short of miraculous. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of the team at Essence Arenal, over 15.000 trees have been planted, creating a vibrant, diverse ecosystem that is home to a wide array of flora and fauna. From the free-range chickens that provide fresh eggs to the tilapia pond, bee hives, mineral water pool, and frog pond, every aspect of life at Essence Arenal is carefully curated to be in harmony with the natural world.
